Eric the Clown
https://collider.com/marvels-what-if-announces-massive-voice-cast-of-mcu-stars-jeffrey-wright-as-the-watcher/ Quote With all this massive live-action Marvel news making its way out of San Diego Comic-Con, don’t forget we’ve also got a really intriguing animated slate coming to Disney+. That includes Marvel’s What If…?, a series that looks at all the alternate possibilities and roads-not-taken throughout the history of the MCU. “All of those set in stone MCU scenes and experiences you’ve seen before, you will see different versions of them in this,” Marvel President Kevin Feige explained on the Hall H stage. Marvel has assembled a gigantic voice cast of MCU stars that will reprise their big-screen roles. That cast includes [deep breathe now]: Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Neal McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan, Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Taika Waititi as Korg, Toby Jones as Arnim Zola, Djimon Hounsou as Korath, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, and Michael Rooker as Yondu. And hosting the various tales will be the voice of Jeffrey Wright, who joins the MCU as the all-seeing, all-knowing Watcher.
Cooper Legion
Cool Eric goes on an MCU D+ thread making spree, guess it’s time for an MCU D+ comment making spree. I hope that each episodes premise is considered canon to the multiverse, and the Jeffrey Wright shows up in the same role in some LA properties. But this is one of the phase 4 properties I’m most curious about either way. Fingers crossed that they’ve been continuing to get some work done on the pandemic and we get to see at least S1 in 2021.

Lol I was bored yesterday and realized we probably should have gotten someone to actually get these Marvel show threads up, since we did it for all the Star Wars shows.
ZeeSoh
Since this is animated and not really considered canon Disney should accelerate this and release this sooner so that there is more content on the platform plus for the MCU too. Cooper Legion
Man, I am sooooooo hyped for this. Could end up making my McU top 3 (with IW and TWS) if execution is good.
Cooper Legion
One bummer is no RDJ though 😔 Hopefully they can get him for future seasons.
charlie Jatinder
This is still 15 days away. Urgh. I am missing MCU content. Hopefully all episodes are of 22-30 mins and not 10 mins shorts.

Menor the Destroyer
If it's shorts then they might as well just dump it all at once. No point in waiting each week just for 10 minutes of new stuff. I think the episode length will be similar to the SW animated shows though so 23-29 minutes on average. A little bit dangerous to draw conclusions from different studios under the same company, but the fact that Star Wars Visions is a one day drop would lend support to the idea that these aren't shorts.
Wormow
Everything I am seeing and hearing has me 100% convinced this show is somewhat canon, and we will see these characters, potentially in live-action, in the future.

Consider it glorified R&D, a space where you could experiment on ideas that if popular enough they could be incorporated into the main canon through multiverse shenanigans or just the main movie universe in its own version. (People forget that when Dark Knight Returns came out which past tense had a dead Jason Todd Robin, Jason Todd was still *alive* in the comics at the time. Did TDKR influence readers to vote for his death in that infamous phone vote? Did it inspire DC editorial to go there?)

Yeah, especially considering the main cast of What If? is comprised of characters that are dead in the current timeline (Peggy, Yondu, Killmonger, etc) so this could be an easy way to bring these actors back into the fold. Although I suspect we'll start seeing some of these guys in movies that are already finished filming/done (i.e. Doctor Strange 2)

Porthos
Reviews of the first three episodes are rolling in. WARNING: The first episode is heavily discussed in many of the following reviews, so keep that in mind when reading. There's much more out there, but that seems to be the gist of things. Some love it, others think it's good, but not great. Do seem to be quite a few spoilers out there, so I'd avoid some of the reviews, or at least read them carefully. The first episode in particular is discussed/spoiled in many of the reviews, so keep that in mind. The other common denominator seems to be that the second and third episodes are much stronger than the first, which is good if one thinks that the series needed to find time to find its footing. Less good if the adage about first impressions is anything to go by. Anyway, this is just a sampling of some of the verified reviews I found out there, the real test is when the General Audience gets a hold of it.
