Some good day/day increases for Sacto and Philly on GOTG3, but not spectacular. Does suggest 7-8K for Alpha Fri, but we'll see soon enough

 

The ratio of daily sales for GOTG3 in Drafthouse update doesn't indicate a higher IM incoming, numbers very much in line with other CBMs like AMWQ and MoM at T-7. But so was Batman, before its late review-fueled surge, so could see same happening here if pulls in a more casual audience and weekend sales push up. With (IMO) the Thursday number mostly coming into focus, probably the data point I'm paying most attention to this last week

 

Still way early, but Little Mermaid looking to me like ~$8-$10M for Thursday, in line with overall tracking has it, but higher uncertainty and plenty of time for that to change

Comps (all four films counted on Monday of the release week = 3 days left for GotG3): Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (28.5M) had 3.981 sold tickets,
The Batman (39.4M true Friday) had 4.894 sold tickets,
Morbius (11.6M) had 1.163
and Thor 4 (40.5M) had 5.214 sold tickets.
SC (20.8M) had on Tuesday of the release week (= 4 days left for GotG3) 2.672 sold tickets,
Eternals (21.2M) had also on Tuesday of the release week 3.138 sold tickets.
 

Honestly, that jump is disappointing. With a really good jump till Monday 30M on Friday (true Friday) are not out of reach (judging from my theaters) but I don't expect wonders.
 

The Thursday presales improved (also) in my theaters. More soon.

I think ratings/review boost are just eh at this point. If it drops today as its norm for saturday before release week plus the "buzz" around reviews wont sustain, it has to do something special to hit 350K at MTC1.

I think ratings/review boost are just eh at this point. If it drops today as its norm for saturday before release week plus the "buzz" around reviews wont sustain, it has to do something special to hit 350K at MTC1.

it grew about 8.5K at MTC1  past 24 hours and under 14K at MTC2 over 3 days.

 

I kind of want to prod Guardians with a stick at this point. Maybe Disney just don't have the modern reach to build hype? Maybe just been too long since the last and MCU just isn't growing so no matter what it does it drops.
