Fullbuster
I found french numbers2008 190.1 mln2009 201.1 mln2010 206.5 mln2011 215.6 mlnso the overtaking will probably not happen 2012, as the French have quite a good dynamic themselves.Followers of the French BO are pretty agree about one thing : the French BO 2012 will be lower than in 2011, around 200 million admissions. The Russia could pass France in admissions in 2013, more probably in 2014. Fullbuster
Can overall box office in 2012 reach $1.5b? Unlikely, but $1.4b is possible, that would be an impressive growth, Russia would be way higher than Germany and UK, and not far from France/Japan. Fullbuster
http://www.boxoffice...s/?id=raven.htmI don't understand how this movie had 1,200 screens, apparently it's a failure in Russia.

juni78ukr
The Muppets Expected. The Raven flopping isn't a surprise. 5 months after US release and mostly unknown property. The Muppets were doomed from the start but $600 per screen is still a disaster. The Raven is a bit a tough case. It is released through local indendent distributor and I really doubt they could manage promised 1200 screens. They thought it might be a cool sleeper hit here but our theaters were not impressed at all. Pretty much the same for the general audience. Fullbuster
Can't wait for Battleship in Russia, I think Russia will be the third country for it, after USA and China, but higher than Japan and South Korea.Russians love this kind of movie. juni78ukr
Okey.. But still.. Open to more screens that Avengers is crazy IMOIt might not have even half of that. 1200 screens was in all our early reports and press releases but actual screen count in many cases you may not know till first Thurday or even Friday. Looks like it was also dumped,
