redfirebird2008
Nope. I wasn't expecting much more than 10M tbh so I am okay with 9.5-10M number. This is like India. Opening above TDK's total has to be considered a win IMHO.

Fake
Yeah Fake, what the hell is wrong with India? Your market needs to expand faster. The Hollywood market is expanding..... at over 20% per year..... and this rate will sustain for many years to come.In 10 years, major Hollywood blockbusters will be grossing 40M+ easily. Fullbuster
Yeah Fake, what the hell is wrong with India? Your market needs to expand faster. It will expand but for the moment the Indian economy is the slowest since 2003, it's not the good year to expect this :PIn 10 years that will be much more interesting for Hollywood movies, we need to be patient. It's big :)We need India to offset the terrible policies of the Chinese government. With Brazil,India,Russia and Mexico being open to the competition the growth of Hollywood releases will be big, even without China. And their GDP growth is basically the same as their population growth.Bottomline: there's no hope there for Hollywood.
Fullbuster
I dunno. Inception somehow managed 3x multiplier, and the weekend isn't over yet. It's not impossible but I don't think that will happen, it will have the competition of Total Recall, The Bourne Legacy and The Expendables 2, in Russia movies don't survive because big movies can't compete each other, they devour each other and the most recent always win. Fake
Considering the population, it should be way bigger than that. There are three main factors at work here:1) Average ticket price is very low..... around $2-3 at current exchange rates.2) Less than 10% people understand English properly right now.2) Local movies dominate here. And every language zone has its own movie industry.
