It's hard to say how high IT's TP will be, but probably around 9€. I would say $8,5M to $9M is the floor right now.
IndustriousAngel
Must be over 10mil US$ with the current exchange rate and weekend tickets. On better screens (atmos ...) the price is somewhere between 10 and 13 € which is between 12 and 15 US$. So the floor is more like 11mil US$ atm. IndustriousAngel
Actuals tomorrow but It came in close to 940k for the 4-day weekend and >1mil incl. previews. Cars3 at 260k (300k incl. previews). In Austria, It had a similar result (about 100k admissions) but Cars3 worked much better (>40k). Aristis
MarkG said that IT could hit 1,5M TODAY! That means nearly 500k in two days!! It will probably pass 2M admissions on the following weekend. About $17M today, and $23M after Sunday - unbelievable... 3

Today is a national holiday and a lot of people use the day before (Monday, October 2nd) as a bridge day. Also, the weather is quite cinema-friendly (at least where I live). Still, even on a normal Weekend It would've been pretty big.
George Parr
Göhte 3 will have a similar situation like that. It starts on Thursday the 26th and has the advantage of Tuesday being reformation day and Wednesday being All Saint's Day, which is a partial holiday. So it more or less has a whole week with enhanced numbers. Unless reformation day gets turned from a one-time-only event into a regular holiday, such a situation will probably never happen again. Perfect moment to start such a blockbuster.

Cars 3 opened on the lower side of expectations, still ok. And Victoria & Abdul did ok on ist surprisingly many screens. Overall business was excellent, too, as witnessed by the soft drops. Despicable Me 3 has now crossed 4,5mil total! Next weekend: The new Blade Runner should get far more publicity than it does - I guess Ridley Scott's latest Alien stuff raised the disinterest, and the tons of coverage It gets at the moment doesn't help. An opening in the 200k region would be good at this point although I'm hoping for more! 3
el sid
I'm also hoping for more. Reservations for BR look very good for today and decent for tomorrow at the theaters I usually look at. It's often divided which film (It or BR) gets the biggest cinema halls but both are getting enough space to have a big audience. It's a pity that the for sure very successful US-weekend of BR does not help WOM-wise because of the simultaneously release date but despite that there seems to be enough interest. Maybe moviegoers saw the trailer in front of It or read that the US-reviews are great, I don't know, but interest rose a lot over the last days. Giesi
Can we expect TLJ tickets to be available on Tuesday already if the rumors are true?
George Parr
I expect it to be the case, though you never know whether all chains start the sale at the same time. Looks like I'll have to wait until Friday to see the movie. The ones I could perhaps go with to the midnight premiere or later on Thursday aren't in town until Friday and everyone else is too busy to go during the week and prefers Friday.
el sid
The first trend: #1 It: 575k - should be close to 2.2M after this weekend, -38.5% but remember that Mo and Tue were also mostly "weekend" so its hold is fine #2 BR: 275k #3 Cars 3 : 175k -33% #4 Kingsman 2: 135k -15% (!) #5 My Little Pony: 100k #6 Ninjago: 80k - 28% And some Thursday actuals (Blickpunkt:Film): New releases: Blade Runner (2017): 40k (released in 600 theaters, good to outstanding reviews) My Little Pony: 9k (518, modest reviews; many reviewers said they couldn't stand it but the kids in the cinema liked it and were into it and that it's really only something for younger kids and disappointing for adults) Unter deutschen Betten: 5.2k (310, one positive and several bad reviews) Holdovers: It: 75k (actuals last Thursday 130k) Kingsman 2: 18k (20k) – as you can see a very good hold Cars 3: 19k Ninjago: 10k Edited October 6, 2017 by el sid
