lab276
Insidekino predicts MU will open around 300k admissions only half of MI. TS3 dropped significantly from TS2. Germany's got no love for Pixar right now.

None of the four semiwide openers made it into the Top 3. (None got as many screens as the Top 3 either) This weekend will hopefully see some more business - with wide openers "Man Of Steel" and "Monsters University", plus black horse "Gambit", and not-so-good weather conditions, there's every chance we'll get some good business. Even if Monsters Inc. didn't do that well here in 2001, and "Superman Returns" was a complete flop in '06.

IndustriousAngel
hopefully it does @ leats decent #s one of my fav films this year Don't know if I'll see it; I liked the original well enough, but the Coen's remake of Ladykillers wasn't anywhere as enjoyable as the original, so I'm yet unsure. IndustriousAngel
First weekend trend: MOS - 400k admissions (nearly as many as S.Returns made in its whole run, so, not bad at all) MU - 325k admissions. Dollar-wise, that would put it in about the same region as Monsters Inc., albeit more than 10 years later: Not so good. HO3 and FF6 should see about 50% drops.

IndustriousAngel
gonna see Kokowääh 2 this wkend was it a hit in Germany??? Medium-size hit, not as well-liked as part 1. The final weekend trend is in and it's not nice for Supes; it seems now that MU will take the weekend crown (at least in admissions): #1: MU - 325k admissions #2: MoS - 275k #3: HO3 - 150k everything else below 100k ... Looking at previews and Friday, it seems as if MoS was seriously frontloaded over the weekend - while still ok in comparison to "Superman Returns", 275k on a weekend with little competition is really nothing to write home about.

With that OW, what do you see it'll finish with, IndustriousAngel? Thank you in advance It seems that Germany is not big on superhero movies. Still, I'm glad that a few still did good business there. IndustriousAngel
If it doesn't manage a sizeable rebound next weekend (possible with rainy weather, but unlikely) its total will not reach 1mil admissions; 10mil US$ would be a goal after this opening.
