Doesn't matter. Brazilians are big fans of Nolan. That is enough for Dunkirk to do well.

DK is currently doing over 40% more than Interstellar Owe, both DK & BD had  big Fri over Thurs jumps compared to other films, so might be looking alright for weekend

At least Dunkirk and Valerian won't be undermined by the exchange rate, it's basically back to Mars-May levels.

I guess that's good for DK and BD. Valerian bombs in one more market. Looks like it won't do much in Latin America.

Urgh. It seems to be tracking at $1.6m-$1.8m. At least it's better than Interstellar that opened at $1.7m with far more favorable ER, it's also better than American Sniper ($1.0m), Hacksaw Ridge ($376k), and Fury ($507k). In fact, it may be the best OW for a War Movie, lol.

I told you Dunkirk would bomb in Brazil. It was obvious given the trends of this market.

Dunkirk:

In Brazil, the launch was $1.7M on 485 to debut atop Inception (+49%), Gravity (+39%) and Interstellar (+16%) and on par with American Sniper. Dunkirk also had the highest IMAX opening weekend for a Christopher Nolan film there.

Transformers 5:

$9.9M in Brazil.

Baby Driver:

Brazil launched to $1.2M (including previews) from 350 screens, 18% above Need For Speed.

Cars 3:

Brazil ($9.7M).

Then they changed the release date...that's a much better date 👍👍👍

Thy changed the date in many countries after bombing hard in usa. Lmao. Why didn't they just delay this movie till August everywhere except France. The most logical thing to do. Even a class 5 student has this much sense.
