Brazil Box Office Thread

Bolsonaro also said he will take Brazil out of the Paris Agreement. This is just tragic.

I still have a bit of hope he doesn't win, but looking at the polls, it would probably require a miracle. The hate for the Left spread like a virus during this election. His campaign managed to influence people's perception of reality using fake news on social media, and now I finally understand what happened in the 2016 US election. This is a problem governments and tech companies have to figure out how to resolve, because influencing elections with lies and deception is a big danger to democracies. It's not just poor and uneducated people who are falling for it.

Fullbuster just had a sneak peek of what it's like to debate with his voters. Even though there's plenty of evidence that Bolsonaro's presidency would be a tragedy, they'll say we're wrong. They even called The Economist a communist magazine. :sparta:

Anyway, we're all in this together and when Bolsonaro leads us to disaster or, in the best case scenario, disappoints his voters by not being able to fullfull their unrealistic hopes, I hope we are able to restore our country and unite.

The Economist, communist? LOL. The very definition of insanity, it's a journal advocating for free markets, I've read them for years. Yes their social views are pretty progressive but communism isn't even progressive..

Good for Venom, maybe that huge amount of nazi and fascist people, who hate democracy and vote against it love to see a movie about a dark villain, take note holy PT.

If you want to keep talking about politics go to the sub forum that is dedicated to that. Don't mix it with box office commentary.

I'm sorry, but I did not like what you said. I'm Brazilian, I hate Bolsonaro and I'm not going to vote for him, but calling us a Nazi / fascist is ridiculous. Here's the place to talk about box office, not to curse people.

So, in order to be back on topic let's talk after the exchange rate: it only slightly improved this week, from 3.78 to 3.72, it probably won't reach an acceptable level (under 3) before quite a while (hard to predict when exactly) but the sooner the better.

Of course it was ironic, and clearly I was referring to certain accusations written here and there, you know...

I love Brazil, but this thread is a little bit poisoned, rules appear just when the opinion is different, some even insult me without arguments or research. Sorry to the offended. Bye!

Plenty of space for Venom to climb up there, out of that R$17,9M weekend, I think close to DP2 is possible

Will Venom reach $20m? Won't be easy but not impossible yet.
