Gimme that R$150 Brazil, and I'll keep you in my heart always. If I’m reading things correctly, CM survived Shazam very well with a -35% drop to about R$5.5M, and a cume of just over 140. I think Brazil is delivering on my request, and that entails a likely finish at #2 all time! In a month, the Brazil top 3 will be Endgame, IW, and CM — a trio of highly connected movies released over the span of less than one year!!!!! 🤯 True MCU party, can any other territory match this feat?

From Deadline: Quote In Latin America, Brazil was down 35% while the full regional dip was 45% for an estimated $112M to date. Captain Marvel is currently the 5th highest-grossing MCU title ever in the region (based on admissions) and the top standalone MCU pic, now leaping past Black Panther. And seems to match up with the USD$36.2M weekend cume.

One of those two, or Philippines/Thailand/Vietnam. I think a local romance sequel finished bigger than CM in Indonesia, but not completely sure. Blaze Heatnix
Shazam was great. People are enjoying it here. The audience reacted well to this movie. It's not a big movie with a huge budget. It's a small scale movie with a smaller budget. So, people must adjust their box office expectations for this one. It'll survive until Avengers Endgame. Fullbuster
CAPTAIN MARVEL reached R$139m, making it bigger than Aquaman (135m) and Black Panther (121m). It's also bigger than Justice League (133m), Batman vs Superman (132.4m) and Avengers (129.6m). The next ones to beat are : Captain America Civil War (143m), Avengers 2 (146.2m). It'd make it the second biggest comicbook movie of all time behind Infinity War, and 3rd after Endgame inevitably beats it. THat's beyond all initial expectations! 4
