keysersoze123
what makes Joker impressive was that its OW was not that big. I thought relative to other markets this was a under performed. But it has had amazing run. If I am not wrong > 5x. I don’t think any of other other top 5 probably was driven more by OW.
Marcos12
$1 Dollar = R$4.22 Reais, terrible! one of the worst ever, turned out the delay of Frozen 2 to January was a wise decision.

OW Currently was good (in local currency, exchange rates are terrible), Joker made R$29.5m (R$30.5m with previews inc) that's in par with Spider man Far from home . for example. But yes, the legs were the big difference, already at 5x, Captain Marvel for example made incredible R$50,8m at OW and finished at R$146,5m, Joker made R$29.5m on OW (R$30.5m with previews) and already is at R$149.7m.

That's the worst ER I saw since I created this thread in 2012, the potential of this market is completely undermined by these ER. I really need to take a new look at the Brazilian economy, I didn't check in 1 year so I wonder what leads to these (negative) records. Cooper Legion
Is there anything coming up soon to cut Maleficent’s legs? Otherwise I think R$100 looks like a real possibility 😮

Fullbuster
Pretty sad I won't be able to track Frozen 2's Brazilian performance when my excitement is at its highest, January 2 is pretty far, I really hope the ER will improve a bit. 1
Fullbuster
Earlier this year I said I would leave the BOT forums, and I must admit the anger toward the harsh moderation was the final straw... But after spending more time here than I did in a longtime thanks to my strong interest for Frozen 2 I decided to reconsider, I'll probably stay. Instead I will just abstain from being there for every big release, I'll be there only for the releases I'm interested in. For next year it'll at least be for the brazilian release of Frozen 2, the release of Mulan + Raya and the Last Dragon. It means my presence will be reduced but at least I won't throw away the 7 years I spent here Edited November 22, 2019 by Fullbuster
Fullbuster
Star Wars EP9 won't be easy to predict, it shouldn't be big but it has literally no real competition, at least not until Frozen 2 that will cut its legs...At least there's a potential for a healthy start, stronger than TLJ.

If you're talking about Frozen 2 then no...because it's an excellent release date for animated movies in Brazil (holidays, weak competition). Since Disney started to release their animated movies in January their overall performance strongly improved. While it's not pleasant to see the movie releasing 6 weeks late in Brazil it's clearly a good choice.
