I am always curious why does he put out COMScore numbers & CANACINE's number both & intermixes them? Oh, he puts out those Comscore weekend numbers on Mondays night (which don't have totals).

Yesterday PIB2 was #1 with 5.8M lc, while A2 did 5.3M lc. Disney is reporting A2's total as $49.1M. What are the odds of reaching 1B lc by Sunday?

Welcome to the $50M club, Na'vi. Total for Avatar 2 is a great $51.4M. Depending on the ER used by DIsney, it may have reached 1B lc as well.

 

Other movies are also performing nicely: Puss in Boots 2 is at $16.6M and M3gan reached $7.7M, the #1 international market so far.

It's opening on the 26th in some markets. Biopics/musical are not too popular, with BR the biggest exception. Rocketman did less than $3M. So I think, with a better ER, $5M would be the higher end.

No idea but CANACINE's numbers always are to take with a grain of salt. Comscore numbers are preliminary (counting finishes until later in the day) but I think CANACINE has their intern doing that because they are misreporting. I remember when I started over here we had like a $15M difference on Homecoming's OD from CANACINE and to this day I have no idea where that difference came from.

Just under $1.01B but yeah $1B is dusted. Finally a non-Marvel/Pixar joined the club.

@Purple Minion said it perfectly; biopics are not a big deal. That's why biopics for local stars are made as TV series; they way more profitable and have a wider reach. BR and Elvis are the exceptions (that MJ movie is going to be massive) so I think this one aims $2.5M tops.
