samsha22
Mexico might be added to the long list of territories where AOU fall behind FF7.. it look like FF7 will outgross AOU in all markets except domestic, SK, UK and some smaller countries... imo, FF7 will take the OS crown this year. keysersoze123
68% So Mexico reports 3-day weekend normally? Last week AOU did 25.5m over 4 days. I thought this week is also over 4 days? Anyway let us see how the hold is for coming weekend. last weekend was bad across the board for AOU.

Anyway let us see how the hold is for coming weekend. last weekend was bad across the board for AOU. Almost all over Latin America AoU, and the Box Office as a whole, fell more than 50% this weekend because the previous weekend had Labor Day Holiday on Friday. The exceptions were Argentina 39% (because many theaters were closed on Labor day) and Uruguay (I think because its OW was not so good). Next weekend we should see softer drops all over as we are used to see in most of LA markets Edit: Mexico normally reports 3 days Edited May 12, 2015 by Henry The Last Avenger

RthDeadWov
So Mexico reports 3-day weekend normally? Last week AOU did 25.5m over 4 days. I thought this week is also over 4 days? Anyway let us see how the hold is for coming weekend. last weekend was bad across the board for AOU. Below post from while ago, Mex weekend Fri-Sun/Week Fri-Thu, Basically Back 5-Jun-14 as a trial till Dec-14 change release dates to Thurs, some did some didn't, some weekend reporting during period also changed to 4 days (depending on source). Most offical release dates back to Fri. Disney & Sony rejected changing the offical date to Thurs (Disney wouldn't do it with Family films but did with some adult titles). The results on making a switch to Thurs starts are not conclusive. Over last few years a number of countries have officially change release dates from Fri to Thu and therefor weekend results become 4 days not 3. Around the time Mexico went with a trial, El Salvador, Guatemala, Columbia all switched to Thursday starts and 4 day weekends. ah ok, the confusion that is Mexico atm, Mexico is transitioniing from Friday starts to Thursday but not everyone does it yet, so there are offical weekend/week reports that are original Fri-sun, Fri-Thu but now also Thu-sun, Thu-Wed. If you go back hisitorical with Bureau of C you'll probably find a point where it reverts to Fri-Sun/Fri-Thu. For now the Studios still acutally report Fri-sun/Fri-Thu, for example PPI reported AOE weekend figure was approx $us2m, which is the Fri-sun figure now the figure shown above in your post weekend top 5 of $us2.5 is the thu-sun figure. apes 6.9m (fri-sun) vs 8.3 (thu-sun) Mojo for example weekend BO report for MEX figures are still Fri-Sun Heres some examples of current confusion, ones that have moved from Fri to Thu starts some started doing it in Apr-Jun, DIS - stilll Friday Starts SPE/PPI/FOX -still friday, couple thu FOX still friday, couple thu WBI- Thurs starts since May UPI Thurs since Jun Diamond- Thurs start since Apr Dragon Thurs start since Jun Guissi Thursday since Apr
