They change after all episodes are released, I think, but since we have only 5/6 so far, it's heavily skewed towards critics who saw screeners of the first two.

Let's see its ratings after it is finished.

Every other MCU show is staring popular characters that have appeared in multiple billion dollar movies except Moon Knight which overperformed hard, even beat WandaVision and Hawkeye. Ms. Marvel viewership is still higher than Peacemaker/Superman and Lois, way higher than other superhero shows. Also, higher than Only Murders in the Building Season 2.

We all know why.

Implying critics are giving a pass to show due to some bias (political, racial, social) is certainly not the hill to die on.

Also, if critics gave MCU a pass for political agendas or whatever, why is Eternals the worst reviewed film when it's the most diverse?

None of the McU shows have very impressive views . They are certainly not TV phenomenons like some claim

Disagree with this. If you accumulate the Nielsen minutes of each one and comp them versus the biggest Netflix series (the difference between weekly release and an all-at-once series) they're fairly comparable.

Also Ms Marvel audience score on RT doesn't seem Review Bombing.

Mostly it is due to it being for kids, most comments mention that it is too childish.

Don't think it is anything like Lightyear situation.

Review bombing reduced rating by atleast 10-15% on RT. Most of the review bombers now use IMDb instead of RT

Other MCU shows have been getting in the 90s and Ms Marvel first two episodes were better than the other shows so the 98 makes perfect sense to me. The reviews for the MCU shows as a whole seem more fan heavy than for the movies.

Only MCU shows that are somewhat good are Loki and Moon Knight.

WandaVision was going well but they blew the ending and now Dr Strange 2 has me completely sour on it.

Less said about FATWS & Hawkeye the better.

What If is just time pass stuff.

Top Gun: Maverick made $2.85m on Thursday.  It is at $582m going into this weekend.

With that Thursday number, should be enough to hit around $17m+ and $600m will be passed either by Sunday night or Monday night.

After this weekend with nothing huge coming out and its rewatchability and theatrical window, 30% drops or so should be the norm for it on the weekend.

Has at least $50m+ in weekends going forward and the likely expansion on Labor Day.  Older skewing movie with summer weekdays feeding it as well.

I am declaring $700m+ locked.  Enjoy the run.

off a 2.85m thurs...

5.13 (+80%)

6.93 (+35%)

5.54 (-20%)

17.6 (-32%)

Hoping for slightly better increases than last weekend and over 18m for the weekend, if possible.

But the question is why MCU fans not watching this show? Bcz its a teen show? Or bcz main female lead is not connected to any male character? Bcz quality wise I don't think there should be any issue.

Yes, because it’s a teen girl show (that my kids just aren’t interested in watching 🤷‍♂️). It’s geared toward family viewing, less single adults (especially men), which limits viewing pool to a degree. An MCU version of a Disney Channel series

That's an article from 2017. 5 years ago.

Since then Ms. Marvel has been relaunched several times due to poor sales and in December 2021 its latest #1 issue was the 175th best selling comic in the country with less than 8k comics sold (to stores, not the actual customer).

I don't think popularity is the problem, MCU has the power to make less popular characters bigger.

It's the content that is just leaving lot to desire.

Disney+ series don't matter much, they are bridge to the wider MCU and there will be so much content after some time that fans themselves will start feeling that.

It's the movie that matters really and the movies need to be better, TV Series were never MCU's forte but the fact that MCU is faultering with movies, is the bigger issue.

👍👍

Lmao was gonna give a verbal 0 warning for that. But yeah all the critics are biased/bought debate has been done ad nauseum on the boards, particularly when MCU/DC movies come out, and it almost always leads to trolling and mayhem. So it’s best we avoid these discussions unless you have some proof of the same.
