It looks like there are two different movies called "Aftersun" this year of 2022, but I'm most interested in this one.

Doesn't look like there's a trailer available yet for this movie, directed by Charlotte Wells.

Aftersun was the best movie I saw at Telluride. It's very subtle and won't be for everyone.

I wonder if this can gross more USA + Canada than Marcel the Shell. Which would be $6,317,576.

Marcel the Shell has the same distributor in A24, had a nice marketing campaign but couldn't do better than that.

Getting frustrated. Not sure this will ever get out of the Los Angeles and New York City market in theaters. Might have to wait until it’s on paid video.

It was just named to the NBR top 10 films of the year 👍

 

A24 is having a phenomenal year. Think its between Aftersun and Everything Everywhere for my favorite of the year.

This movie is a gem. It floored me but I loved it so, so, so much. Terrific performances, and a dark subtext. Deserves all the love and awards it's getting.

I seen it yesterday and thought it was very unique, something completely fresh. The two performances are terrific. They seem like real people and the dialogue feels natural and unscripted. 
 

I found it all a bit haunting too.

Well yeah I actually did see it in theaters, a month ago!

I thought it was very good... I was just expecting something transcendently great based on reviews, and it kind of fell short of that for me.
