I guess it's to be expected that the Thursday drop would be a little steeper than Rogue One's 7.2% drop on the same day given the soft Wednesday drop.

 

Either way, it's shaping up to be a terrific 3rd weekend performance!

The final hour or so actually goes surprisingly darker than you'd expect, but not sure that's enough to turn off kids tbh.

$16.2M for Puss in Boots

 

That prediction for Avatar is from a few days ago though so I may need to revise that up in light of the most recent numbers. Maybe more like $55M.

I think Avatar is just going to be a stable beast from here on out. Consistently very good numbers but nothing so big it comes out of left field.

 

As usual I'd love to be proven wrong though. That's the joy of Cameron movies at the box office. He'll always shock us box office nerds!
