Is that accurate, I don't know the movie well enough. It hit the iceberg around the 45min mark so the sinking was 2.5 hours like it was in real life? If so, that's pretty cool.

No, it doesn't hit the iceberg until the halfway point or so. On VHS the intermission (it was split into 2 tapes) occurs right after Andrews says the ship is going to sink, which is 5-10 minutes max after the collision. Edited April 15, 2012 by 4815162342
