Deadpool 3 will conquer 2024, but i always had Thunderbolts as the Marvel surprise of the year. Hearing just great things from a friend.

 

Cap4 have big ideas and will be another very big film in US and not so much overseas, like Black Panther, Across Spiderverse, Little Mermaid... for reasons. Just wait for the marketing .

You *could* do a finale to the first 8 eps which tees here up to be a villain, but the actually existing ep 9 is quote the opposite and restores her firmly to more of a hero role… until mUh eViL BoOk post-credits, of course.

She leaves Westview and ends with her reading the book of the damned. It’s obvious that this wouldn’t end well. You can say that the execution of how they resolve this on Multiverse of Madness is flawed (zombie Strange not withstanding), but that it wasn’t obvious that this would end in tragedy it’s well, right there.

Civil War never marketed Ant-Man as a main character. He's in the trailers for literal seconds. Kamala and Monica are co-leads.

Dune did like 1/3rd of the views as Mortal Kombat on HBO Max and is the kind of dreary, long movie I don't think hits in 2023. I'm seeing 55/150. Aquaman 1 may have been a hit but this has more competition and is likely to be a disaster critically. I'm high on Barbie but it's a huge risk. Meg 2 is exactly what people seem to want in today's theater world - a quick, fun movie with giant sharks and quips. I'm actually predicting this now, for real.

Ant Man 3 trailer atleast got people talking about it. The Marvels trailer was just there. If you aren't a hardcore MCU fan , you won't understand anything that's happening there.

 

It should have been Captain Marvel 2 not The Marvels , a big missed opportunity and marketing fail

It's trailer stats were ok, not great but nothing disastrous either. Probably will be a more lighthearted escapism than some of the other options on offer in the fall. If it's good it should do just fine.

I'm gonna be honest i had no idea there was a Meg 2 until right now. I also had no idea The Meg made $500mil worldwide. I thought it was just some low rent creature feature like Crawl or something that didn't even make a blip i really knew nothing about those films at all.
