meriodejaneiro
I wonder why Disney dropped so massively the number of screens for IO2. Prior to Labor Day WE, IO2 was on 1,500 theatres, then expanded it to 2,600 for LD week-end+week-days, and then drastically dropped to 960 theatres on Friday. I know Beetlejuice needed screens, but wow. As comparaison, Incredibles 2, prior to LD weekend was on 1,000, then expanded to 2,800 for a week and then dropped to 1,500 (+500 compared to before Labour Day WE. "Ignoring" the Labour Day week, Incredibles 2 went from 1,000 to 1,500 theatres, but IO2 went from 1,500 to 960. I guess Disney will push IO2 pass JW somehow anyway. I don't believe they will renounce to such a milestone (#10 DOM, top 10 DOM) for barely $1,4M). HummingLemon496
The Jurassic World DOM goal is still making this run interesting to follow three months later lmao. $653,406,625 to this is what $700,000,000 was to Black Panther. Honestly, I think Disney should give it a small push because it's the entry into the DOM top 10. It had far more overseas earnings at 67.2% than Inside Out 2 which had overseas earnings at 61% ($1.016B). Conversely, IO2 had more domestic earnings at 39% ($651M) than The Lion King 2019 at 32.8% ($543M). No I mean I won't acquiesce to the TLK is a cartoon film idea so IO2 still OS record-holder in my mind.
meriodejaneiro
At the moment IO2 is already: #11 DOM (636.5M) (642.2M) (646.3M) (651.2M) 652M #10 OS (957.3M) (983.8M) (1,002B) (1.016B) 1,023B #8 WW (1,594B) (1.626B) (1,649B) (1.667B) 1,675B It should add +24M +17M +11.2M +7.2M +2.3M +1.5M domestically to become #10 DOM (JW 653.4M). It should add +89M +61M +34M +16M +2M internationally... Is's already #10 internationally with 1,023B, ahead of JW (1,018B). It should add +104M +69M +37M +14M worldwide...It's already #8 WW with 1,675B, and ahead of TLK, putting to an end the stupid debate about #1 animation movie ever (TLK 1,662B). Extra: It should add +22M +4M worldwide... it's already #8 WW with 1,675B. It should add +33M 24.9M internationally to become first 1.7B end of box office run movie. No more realistic goals achievable at this point (I even doubt the 1.7B goal is achievable at this point).

Jiffy
I guess we'll need to keep waiting for the first film to fall in the $1.7-1.9B range.
