JonathanMB
Its per-theater-average is nearly flat with last weekend, and still higher than its opening weekend. Is this making a run for $15M+ domestic?! 3

Never seen anything like it tbh. Going by boxofficemojo Captain Marvel -> The Marvels - dollar drop: 925 .2M & % drop: 81.7% Joker 2 would have to miss 196.3M WW to have the biggest percentage drop and would have to miss 153.6M WW to have the biggest dollar drop. AniNate
TWR had a better third weekend hold than Elemental and still not that far off from Elemental's pace. Think $150mil is still possible.

WebSurfer
Heh, Box Office Pro thought that Saturday Night Live and The Wild Robot would be battling for the #3 spot, and that Joker would be #2.

filmlover
Saturday Night has a reported budget of $25-30M. I imagine that answers the question as to why it wasn't made at NBC/Comcast-owned Universal (that price tag probably being more than what they were willing to pay for it). TWR should get a boost from the holiday tomorrow and ought to be able to at least match Elemental's weekly hold as well. Nothing else coming out for awhile so I can see its weekly holds being similarly miniscule.

I think Piece by Piece's opening is at least a little admirable considering "documentary puff piece but animated with LEGOs" is such a confounding sell. Out-opening a movie about the most popular sketch comedy show of all time is pretty wild.
