Multipliers in Japan have a waaay wider range. Franchise films usually come in at subpar 3-4 multipliers but the highest grossing films can clock in even 20-30 multipliers. The biggest opener in the market by a gigantic margin still managed a 9 using the 3days, 12 with pure weekend.

Universal/Amblin’s Jurassic World Dominion ended its weekend with an added $13.8M in 86 markets including the Japan debut. There, JWD had a No. 1 Friday for Uni’s biggest opening day ever and claimed the 2nd biggest opening day of the year. The full three-day haul was $10.2M.

Yes. They over-estimated it. USD value from Studio are just annoyed on start. On later run, it's conversion stable. So, at start it might have a error up to ¥100M, but later on below ¥10M-¥20M
