well 200M predictions were always kind of silly but I just want this movie to be successful enough for a sequel

Don't worry. OS numbers will make up for a muddling domestic performance.

Oh.. you put 185m.. yeah you're gonna lose some points.

Since it isn't reaching 145M... I will lose 5k (or 6k if it doesn't reach 125M).I had a bad feeling about it when I was putting that number, but all the 200M predicts got to me. Damn.....

I had a bad feeling with 163m! That was lowered from something around 180m... I just figured that no way it does less than 145m so I'd be within the points range whether it disappoints or breaks out... Ah well.My Snow White predict is even worse.. 190m. And that was lowered from 200m+.Madagascar should be very close to the target. I am praying for 173-177m :lol:

Prometheus was marketed as a celebral film...

You sound like a fool and what is "celebral"?And for your information, Prometheus was advertised heavily with the NBA playoffs. They have a tie-in commercial. Edited by Moviefanatic

You were at least thinking in the right direction....I went from 170m to 185m from Prometheus and 150m to 165m for SW because of other people's predicts. From now on I will just stick with my own opinions. :P

If it is true, then it was a waste of marketing budget, plain and simple. I personally don't watch NBA.

I think my predictions for Snow White and Prometheus would have been a lot closer if they'd been good movies, which I expected them to be from the trailers and early buzz. I need to take into account bad WOM more in the future.

Notfabio posted how neither of the openers did any midnight business either. Probably worse for That's My Boy than Rock of Ages (R-rated comedies are always midnight-skewing films) but I'm really curious how the openers and holdovers will look today.
