Rsyu
I also believe they haven't removed the quota yet am I right? It's just a very generous quota these days that is pretty pointless exisitng. Indeed That is just bad for JA Is it doing good numbers anywhere?

Rsyu
Very bad for JA. Yeah I agree, daily increase for Friday almost stayed flat from Thursday. Seat saturation is at a measly 10.5%. Audience rating is only 6.97/10 on Naver too.

Loved Interstellar's run there Can you speak for the quality of JA though? I've only heard bad things

Rsyu
Film Review: Punch (2011) Cast Yoo ah-in (as Wan-deuk) Kim Yun-seok (as dong-ju) Jasmin B. Lee (as Wan-deuk's mother) Rating IMDb: 7.4/10 Naver: 8.77/10 Box Office Gross: $33.56M (38.53B KRW) Admissions: 5,311,232 Trailer Review Punch is a warm and charming coming of age film depicting the maturity of a wayward teenage boy while also showing the darker side of the life of a foreign immigrant living in Korea from a fresh perspective. In this story, Do Wan-deuk is a teenage boy living in a small worn down house in an underdeveloped part of town. He lives with his single physically handicapped father and mentally handicapped uncle who was originally a stranger that his father took in. His father makes a poor living by dancing as a clown on stage using his physical deformity for comical effect. Ashamed of the way his family is perceived in the eyes of the world “Wan-deuk” is a rebel to society, fighting anybody who dares to make fun of him and often leaving his house only to return because he has no place else to go. Living next door to him is his school class teacher “Dong-ju”. He’s the classic “bite’s worse than his bark” type of teacher who deals out tough love to his students and especially to Wan-deuk who seems to need it the most. Although he’s tough on the exterior he has a warm heart and cares deeply for his students and foreign immigrants who suffer at the hands of their employers. Wan-deuk originally hates his teacher who he feels interferes needlessly with various aspects of his life just to torment him. There is a hilarious running gag throughout the film centered in the Church in which Wan-deuk, reaching the end of his patience, prays to God to please kill his teacher. However once he realizes that his teacher has his best interests at heart and that he is a genuinely good person who cares about the rights of foreigners, Wan-deuk comes to grudgingly respect him. Dong-ju also introduces Wan-deuk to his Philippine mother who he had assumed was dead. They eventually come to reunite as one family and Wan-deuk slowly starts to find stability and happiness in his once turbulent life. What I liked most about punch, and what I think ultimately distinguishes it from other films is that there is no cliché story about good triumphing over evil or any familiar tropes for dramatic effect. It’s just the story of everyday people struggling not with any life changing issues but small and somewhat insignificant ones which seem unimportant in the grand scheme of things. However this is the very thing that serves to give the film an undeniably genuine feel to it. We invest ourselves in the character because we identify ourselves in them and the actions we might have pursued in a similar circumstance. The humor and good acting makes this for a pleasant viewing. Yoo ah-in is a very talented actor in my opinion and I’ve enjoyed some of his roles on TV but Punch is his best work to date hands down. I’m very curious and excited for his next role Sado, which is set to be released later this year. Other reviews

BadAtGender
Can you speak for the quality of JA though? I've only heard bad things The uneven script is a big problem. It never really finds the right balance between the worldbuilding and the plot. Besides that, it's actually pretty great. Amazing visuals, excellent action scenes, and an awesome score.
