Not locked no, the weekdays aren't strong enough for it to be locked at this point. 2M is locked with a good chance at 2.5M at the moment. The biggest film of January 2015 turned out to be a December release, Ode to my father which accounted for a huge 32% of the total January admissions. Basically this means that the gap between successful films (or film in this case-singular) and not so successful films was quite large with severely unequal distribution of screens and showtimes. This is a large part of the driving force of the Korean box office but many people in the film industry raise concerns that the diversity of smaller films will suffer as a result. Indeed the next biggest hit, Taken, failed to reach even 2 million admissions. Gangnam Blues and BH6 should both reach that milestone some time in February though. Yes, I second this, luckily the competition doesn't seem really tough so if it holds well the coming two or three weeks, it will be benefitted from the holidays boost and hit the 3M mark. I'm wondering to see how Doraemon and Spongebob will be affect the family market. But at least BH6 is slowly becoming a date movie and attracting young adults, too. yjs
What were the TV ratings for the Asian Cup final in South Korea? 19% for MBC, 17% for SBS. No broadcast on KBS. Impact wise I guess these numbers are somewhat similar to mid-high 3s for American 18-49 ratings.

In Australia it averaged 1.8 million on the ABC with a peak of 3 million during extra time. It averaged 416,000 on Fox Sports. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/media/socceroos-score-for-abc-and-foxtel/story-e6frg996-1227204139206?nk=b25be69e49ad2eb6951adcf9ff459130 Edited February 1, 2015 by DeeCee

Rsyu
Than how much do you think it will drop in the next week? The average admissions for the 5 weekdays last week was 74,473. Jupiter ascending opens next week but presales suck at the moment so I'm thinking it will drop to 55,000-62,000 average or so. Weekends maybe around 380K-400K. pepsa
If that comes true it will be at 2.3M next sunday. That would put it only 0.7M short of 3M admissions. Are 4th week drops harder in SK than 3rd week?

Are 4th week drops harder in SK than 3rd week? Actually now I come to think of it. BH6 loses IMAX screens to Jupiter ascending this upcoming week so drops could be steeper than I said. As for movies in the fourth week, every movie behaves differently so it's hard to say for sure but Doraemon and Detective Conan open that week which should take a huge chunk of the children audience so yes I'm anticipating a steep drop. Detective K: secret of the lost island will take away further screens too.

Rsyu
Amazing that Admission numbers increase 50% yet the number of seats available is actually only 15% more than at the same period. Yeah I was surprised that there wasn't more of a direct correlation between the two to be honest. Screens increasing by 28% (which led directly to an exponential increase in showtimes) and the general improvement in economic standards and the welfare of the middle and lower class were more relevant I think.
