April 2015 reached a 3 year high and is indeed the biggest April on record both in admissions and gross. As a result, the total box office for the calendar year is roughly on par with last year in terms of attendance but lagging 3.5 million or so behind 2013. In gross though 2015 managed to outweigh both 2014 and 2013.

The biggest success story of the month was obviously The Avengers: Age of Ultron. After a record breaking opening followed by several low points which included mini meltdowns and hysteria from those on these boards, it looks to have somewhat stabilized and progressing as most people expected it to. Currently, 10 million admissions looks likely to happen which would make it the most successful Marvel product in South Korea.

Fast and Furious 7 also did extremely well to shake off the series' weak box office streak in Korea. It is the most successful hit of the franchise increasing some 77.3% over FF6, which was the most successful film in the franchise prior to the release of FF7.

Among Korean films, twenty was the most successful despite it being a March release. It's only the second Korean film to amass more than 3 million admissions in the current calendar year.

A special mention to Kingsman: The secret service, which managed to nab 5th place in the April Box office despite it being and early February release. Matthew Vaughn mentioned in an interview that if he made a sequel/prequel to Kingsman, he'd want to film part of it in Korea. If Colin Firth reprises his lead role we could be looking at the first R-rated movie to break 10 million admissions :P (only half-joking  )
