Average ticket price dropped a lot(1000 KRW) for AOU, so its either that numbers is wrong or a lot of students bought tickets

Ties in with the theory that the boost came from exam free students. :)

$2,212,639 ($34,738,609)

That's a solid number, but I'm also glad to see COIN LOCKER GIRL was able to nab 90k on its opening day. It's not enormous but given what it's up against it's encouraging. I was one of them yesterday and I liked it, but beyond the curiosity for its Cannes selection I don't think it's going to win over too many crowds.

This is good. But sadly we dont have equivalent week(when May Day fell on a friday) to compare. May be Wednesday became the thursday. Thursday will behave like friday.

May day fell on a friday in 2009. Here's how the two biggest films during that period behaved

My girlfriend is an agent (4/22 release date)

Mon-71,959

Tue-76,673

Wed-71,980

Thu-67,775

Fri-136,383

Sat-195,981

Sun-168,509

Thirst (released 4/30)

Thu-180,372

Fri-244,182

Sat-297,612

Sun-237,954

It's a little different this time around though since new releases wont have such a big effect.

Can you do a new projection with Wednesday number

If end of exams students were indeed the reason for the increase in admissions yesterday, then I guess they could be a new source of admissions in the upcoming days.

Wed: 322K

Fri: 565K

Sat: 800K

Sun: 725K

Mon: 270K

7.5M+ admissions by Tuesday. 10M should happen and if it holds up for 1 more week then 11M+ admissions is possible.

Also, presales have shot up crazy. Over 600K now, TA2 will pass RC's best 2nd weekend presales soon.
