Other wise it will be frontloaded and we don't want that.

Did Civil War also open on Culture day? If not, that could explain the worse drop for IW. If it did, never mind lol.

Stewart
Presales are almost at 1.2m, highest it's ever been for AIW. Also, the value of that in KRW is actually bigger than its sales over the first two days (even though that was 1.5m+)

I'd say the softer drop yesterday stabilised this, so a 35% increase today would mean 800k adm. Now that's rather large, but plausible. I'd say 700-800k is range meaning more like $5.5m-$6.5m

Stewart
734,161 ($6.53m) today (+23%) For Saturday, following CW gives 1,300,000 (a new single day record). Following AoU gives 1,310,000. The increases friday to saturday were surprisingly coherent. Add to that the Friday increase was muted potentially, then I think it's safe to say the Single Day record may be going down! On Sunday Ultron dropped 150k, CW dropped 200k. If AIW gets to 1.35m say, then 1.1m may be in play for Sunday. Potential for 4.76m 5-day total (roughly $40m). Given the incredible WOM reports from members here, that all-but-guarantees 12m+ and $100m+ total here. Fish&chips
Feel tired after my 1AM showing but totally worth it. It was packed too which was awesome I think there is a fixed demography for superhero films due to it's very nature. It's not like NA, where people grew up with comics from 30-40 years ago. The elder generation in Korea right now just do not dig it. This may change in a generation when the current demography becomes the elder generation that still enjoys SH films and the younger generation that will enjoy it too. But as of now, it probably will not match some of the Korean box office juggernauts. Would love to eat my words on this but watch this space. Personally, I'm hoping for a slightly better run than AoU, with maybe an outside chance for 11M admissions.
pepsa
Still probably 1.3M incoming today. Because presales are still high.

It’s a bit weird and I don’t have a definitive answer because they don’t release their method of calculation. I’m inclined to agree more with your latter speculation though as 700K by 9AM sounds ridiculous and we’ve seen with previous films, without presales it doesn’t match the eventual box office performance for the day. If that’s the case though, it’s a bit of a hack, calculating admissions for screenings that haven’t even taken place.
