Guardians of the Galaxy was released one day after the most attended film in SK box office history (Roaring Currents). Its high ratings on Naver suggest it was well recieved but it never got enough showtimes to generate significant box office revenue. I can only speculate that the general mood seemed to be the series was declining in quality with each new film but rebounded for the final 2 installments with nostalgia factors, grand finale etc etc.

Rsyu
At first glance, that Friday increase for Fantastic beasts seems pretty lame, but it should be noted that the box office as a whole was down compared to Thursday. Friday box office admisisons: 463,193 Thursday Box office admissions: 473,363 I don't know why, but it seems like either Thursday was inflated for some reason (wasn't a holiday), or Friday was deflated. Maybe something to do with the current political crisis? Just a speculation..
