September 6-8:

The week after Labor Day tends to be the slowest weekend. In this case it was a sleepy weekend as the 2nd film with the title Chaperone was number one. The audience was mostly females over the age of 35. It was the only new release this weekend, which is not that uncommon this week. While the 2nd major Spanish speaking film of the year, El Libertador came at number 6 even though it is on just over 200 theaters.

September 13-15

Audiences crossed "The Ice Bridge" this week. It opened just over 23 million. Films like this tend to not be that big, plus it was not the right time of year it seemed. It got a B+ on Cinescore. 50% of the audience were males over the age of 30, and of the audience over the age of 30, 35% were over the age of 50. While "Plant Men" came at number 2 with 13.5 million.

"Squid" is big. It is the first September film to ever hit 40 million on its opening weekend. It had a very nice debut with a A on Cinescore. The Poet had a decent opening for the type of film it is at number 2 with 15.8 million. While "Bigfoot" smashed at the 2 theaters he was at.

As expected, the "Squid" remained number one. While "Story" had a good debut at number 2 with 19 million. 13th Night 3 on the other hand, was forgetten and only made 5 million.

BOO! Welcome to October!

October 4-6

With many saying zombie films are dying and that nobody would see it, "Z-Day" surprised with a 26.1 million opening weekend. It got a C+ on Cinescore though. While "Go-Go Girls" only made 4 million, got a D+ on Cinescore. While it was a very scary time for 13th Night 3, as it plummeted over 70%, unlikely there will be a 4th one....at least in theatres.

"Fatal" was number one this week with 29.7 million. It also had one of the oldest audiences of the year for a number one movie. As 60% of the audience was over the age of 30, while of the 60%, 40% were over the age of 40, and of the 40%, 38% were over the age of 60! While "Gregor" came at number 2 with 18 million. Some were saying it would be the next "Percy Jackson" while others laughed and said it would be the next "Seeker" well it was more closer to the former then the later. While "Bigfoot" had a decent wide weekend

"Red Skin" had a nice opening for a western with 16.98 million. While "Million" didn't quite hit it as big but it was not as wide as one would expect, it plans to expand next week. Last weeks winner "Fatal" remained on top with a really good drop.

November 1-3:

"The Golem's Eye" opened November with a bang. It had a very nice 69 million opening weekend. "Small Town" did quite well itself with 27 million. "Election" though couldn't drive enough intrested viewers.

After a great marketing campaign during the Summer, "Red Rabbit" came on top with 63 million. Which the spy film got a A- on Cinescore. It recieved great reviews. "Assassins" was left out meanwhile. Though it had a limited market it could go to it seemed and could become a cult hit someday. "Black as Night" continues a great limited run, though it going wide is untested still. It plans to go wide next week.

Holy Gray Batman! 50 Shades made an incredible 83.8 million on its first weekend. Based off the incredible popular novel, the film had an incredible debut. 75% of the audience were women over 25. Though it may be short lived-it made 45% of its opening weekend gross on Friday. Still a great opening. While "Cherub" had a moderate debut with 21 million. "Black as Night" went wide with 13.2 million. Which is the biggest opening for the director.
