PatrickvD
It was not a major hit. Adele's song only spent one week in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, on the back of first week sales hype, and tanked at Top 40 radio. It took weeks to top 1 million downloads in the US. Even with an Oscar win it will barely hit 2 million months from now, when her first three '21' singles have sold over 7 million, 5 million, and 4 million respectively. "Skyfall" even missed #1 in the UK. It was a moderate performing single, and would have been considered a massive flop if it had been her next album's lead single. To be fair, there are other markets outside the US and the UK. Here in the Netherlands, Skyfall spent six weeks atop the charts. Her second biggest seller over here.In terms of ticket sales, Skyfall will pass Avatar, which is staggering. It will most likely end up as the #4 all time, behind Harry Potter 1, The Lion King and Titanic.
fishstick
Answer to both questions is yes.Skyfall will finish with 740m+ OS and 1045m+ WW. So China will need to do 60m for 800m OS and 75m for beating Shriekapoo.I am expecting 80-90m currently. That sounds great!
