The movie added $6.75M internationally this weekend which was its 15th overseas. It’s still playing in 35 territories and has Japan to come on March 14. Korea is the highest-grossing market for Frozen with $76.2M so far. It’s become the 11th film ever to pass 10M admissions in the country. In the UK, its second biggest market, the movie has grossed $63.5M and is the 5th highest-earning animated movie ever. Other key territories include Germany ($47.7M), France ($42.6M), China ($42.6M) and Russia ($33.3M).

Omg....it passed a billion. No way I was expecting that to happen this week! 1.02b before japan release!!

Liking the strong weekly holds OS.  Only a 7.5% drop from last week's OS :)

How did it do 20m for the week global, down just 16%? Sk, DOM, china down a lot more than that for the week.

Still hoping that last week's total was underestimated by 3 millions (due to China's 18M yuan Sun not being included). In that case, Disney could fudge the numbers a little and make it pass 1 billion by Sunday, just to increase the press attention after the movie's possible double win at the Oscars.

It happened!!! :D

According to the Swedish film institute, Frozen stayed on top of the Swedish box office for this weekend as well, making it number one for five weekends in a row. The Pirate Fairy (A Disney ToonStudios Tinkerbell film) took second place. The Lego movie is in 4th place, and a local animation is in 7th place. Animation rules the box office here right now, but even with all the competition, Frozen refuses to budge from the top spot.
