Incarnadine
is safe (if screendaily says the truth) another 5M WW in weekdays = 1,015 b$ before japan start 1,015 b$ + another about 10m$ in other location at the end of the run = about 1,025 b$ then it take only about 40/45m$ in japan to reach top ten WW Don't forget, there is also likely another 15m+ domestic left as well. MU's OD which was Saturday too, made 59,245. That's great! Bigger OD than Doraemon despite opening on Friday. So around 310m yen OD? Probably higher since Frozen has 3D and more adults on Friday. I've seen reports saying that most of the people in Frozen shows are teens, groups of high school & college students (mostly girls) and couples. How much was MU's OD in yen? catlover
Oh I forgot, Friday was Toho day (cheaper ticket prices). So that number was a little bit inflated I guess?
Olive
Oh I forgot, Friday was Toho day (cheaper ticket prices). So that number was a little bit inflated I guess? 250M yen shouldn't be a problem. DOS 3-day = 4.7x Friday. 1B yen is still in play.
LABAS
Oh I forgot, Friday was Toho day (cheaper ticket prices). So that number was a little bit inflated I guess? In my opinion, despite the cheaper prices, Frozen has 8.8% 3D in TOHO theaters. Perhaps it can more or less offset the impact of TOHO day. Omni
If it opens to 7M or so, MU's final total will be the target. But we all want more. Honestly, reasonable prediction or not, I won't be happy with anything below 10B yen.

Enough for highest grossing animated movie WW. And maybe #6 WW.
seduh
I need Japan number!!! I know it won't let us down! Even if it does $0 in Japan it will be remembered as one of the biggest surprises all time and one of the best films to track box office wise (like Avatar, Titanic). 16 weekends in the top ten! Avatar had 14!
Ray
Been reading through the latest posts in the Japan thread, and from the sounds of it, we'll all be pleased with the eventual weekend numbers...

LABAS
admissions looks awesome considering yesterday way TOHO day even (40% discount). Hopefully we should see and increase in gross from yesterday. This is very likely. Yesterday the admissions in TOHO was around 49500 , while today chances are the number will surpass 60000. More admissions, higher prices, why not an increase from yesterday BTW, the admissions in another two distributor (109 , Kinezo ) is also performing much better than yesterday /`
Ray
After finding out the other day that Friday was a huge discount day, I was a tad disappointed at the likelihood of deflated numbers. In hindsight, this can only be good for Frozen. Not only is it apparently still selling out its Saturday showings, but hopefully the many more people that saw it Friday than might have otherwise will similarly spread the great word-of-mouth we know Frozen can do. It's all so exciting!

With the spread word of mouth, it seems that the performance of Frozen in small cities / movie distributors is a way better than yesterday.

Now we'll have some excitement as Frozen attempts to pass TS3
