next Thursday has two actioners and Friday one ('R rated') animation: three major releases like this week. then three more majors on 8.25. so not really 'no competition'.

 

Monster Hunt, in summer 2015, had a much better release window and two extra weeks within the summer.

it's currently sit at number 6, the film has substantially higher seat occupying rate than other, deserve more showtimes, same goes to the Army, now sits at #8 but much higher seat occupying rate

Yup. a little bit.  PS looking to total 15 to 20m for all releases. Maybe 50m ODs. 

They will take shows from this weekends releases mostly as their PTA looks low. Hopefully WW2 will still have close to the same amount of shows.  The following weekend could be rough.

Docs don't usually make a ton of money in China (or anywhere else in the world for that matter) so it wasn't going to break the bank. It has received high audience ratings on all sites so its legs should be strong but won't have the screen numbers to do anything big. Estimate $3M total.

Thats a nice bump. And going to bump to over 6m today. They are increasing shows another 40% tomorrow. Will be over $4m by thursday. A bit more if the dailies continue to rise. Could do over $10m and who knows how much more with CBO WoM
