This makes no sense. The remake of Drishyam i.e. Sheep without a shepherd was a big hit in China, no idea why anyone would want to watch a less China-centric "original" after watching that.

 

"Original" in quotes because this Drishyam is a remake of the Malayalam Drishyam.  Also, RIP Nishikant Kamath, gone way too soon.

Out of which, 16 Imported Films has been released, 5 Imported Films has been scheduled for release and 3 Imported Films has been pending dates. The cumulative box office of these 16 Imported Films is ¥610M (as of March 23) /not even the OD of Water Gate Bridge (¥640M). The Batman and Uncharted is expected to pass ¥100M.

Um. Honest fans will watch it. But, question arises on the certainty of its release, not the earnings.

 

Like Spirited Away released back on 2001 on Japan, released on Mainland China after 18 years on 2019, earning $71.5M, though for years, it was available on illegal online sites.
