Walk ups have been consistent for HLWD movies the past year. The OD total has been between 2.5-3x 9am presales. 

It's at 17m and climbing faster now. We will need to see 45m~ by Sunday morning to get 130m/ $20m for OD. But we're likely to see just 5 - 7x OD- $100-140M unless WOM is huge. JW had 13x OD with WOM. But that is rare.

Here are 3 potential paths it could take.

T5 large OD, weak legs although it should have made 10% more due to rumored BO theft. 5x OD Sunday

AOU. Very large weekday OD. Mixed WOM, 7x OD

JW. Medium weekday OD huge WOM 13x OD

 

FF7 had a record Sunday OD of $63m and finished with $390m. Just over 6x OD

 

SW7 will have a 5% XR disadvantage to these movies

Shanghai index lock limit down again. Twice in 4 days. Tomorrow gonna be ugly.probably will test 52 week low made in august at 2900. Likely to test 2500 soon. Not good for the economy, BO won't feel it until later this year though.

I added SA to show what a small opening can do with tremendous WOM. Was holding dead flat on weekdays until it lost theaters to JW, but then held flat again until more screen loss. Could have been $130m+ if it had more screens. 18x OD is very rare.

Presales at 26m now. Should get over 45m by Saturday morning at this pace and bring in a 130m/$20m+ OD. Currency fell again to 6.59 to a dollar. it was 6.21 last year until august.
