Sunday EST:
The Jungle Book 72m/644m($99M)
Yesterday Once More 31.3m/100m
Huntsman  19.8m/69.3m

JB beat BVS, now 3rd biggest hollywood movie of 2016.

It will end up 850M yuan at best because of tough competition coming.

Huntsman disappoints, won't be much more than 100M yuan.

It seems that Alice 2, X-men and TMNT will all open day and date with DOM, so don't expect any late legs for CA3 even it has good WOM.

CA3 -5.6

Alice 2/X-men -5.27

TMNT2 - 6.3

Huge competition on fourth weekend of CA3, Both Alice 2 and Apocalypse are 1B contenders.

Well ,AOU made 95% of its gross in first three weeks, so don't be so worried at least CA3 has a better release date than the other 3 movies mentioned.

Great hold for TJB at -40.5%

Tot       644m

MidW     75m.     719m

Last year FF7 lost about 1/2 it's screens to 17% and held -25% for the May Day holiday weekend.

Right now it looks like TJB will lose 2/3s and be under 10% screens for friday, it could get a few percent back on saturday. I was hoping it could hold -30%, have 130m weekend and be close to

900m when ca2 opens but it may drop 50% or more. Leaving it at low 800s when CA2 opens.

Is TMNT 2 the last release before the blackout period? But good date for TMNT 2 imo, compared to the first tmnt which was released almost 2months after its worldwide release date, piracy was rampant and it came out with Maze Runner, Lucy and Donnie Yen pic Kung Fu Jungle.
July is so boring.. gosh... Local Releases will earn big bucks regardless of their quality. The protection period really needs to stop.

AOU is too out of date, presales have changed a lot in a year.

And BVS is not the same level.

Olive, Maoyan's showing nearly 90% showtimes for CW on 6th. Where do you see it ending up when CW opens? 65 maybe 70% or is that too high?
