@peludo, TBALC has crossed ¥5760M ($904.6M at C.E.R.) today, I think it is probably ending near or mid ¥5770M ($906.2M at C.E.R.). Globally it's already above $910M, missing $1B by $90M.

Added another ¥1M today (¥1.2M) stands at 4th. I think it will be ¥3M-¥5M WKend, So, probably breaking ¥5765M, Still has some fuel to break ¥5770M but who knows if its a ¥5775M ending or just merely some ¥***K below ¥5770M. Also, I am What I am debut tomorrow... Tracking is going to be interesting soon 🔜

Great Opening Day for Firefiles in the Sun, already above ¥57M, heading for ¥75M-¥80M, will try a ¥200M+ WKend

TBALC looks deserted made ¥0.6M so far, so it will clocking near ¥1.5M-¥2M WKend, again reducing it's finals between ¥5765M-¥5770M. Rank 6th today.

Fireflies in the Sun already over ¥71M looks like a ¥90M+ or maybe ¥100M OD. Great Start now assuming ¥250M-¥300M WKend. I Am What I Am is starting low with ¥7.4M, meaning ¥9M-¥10M OD. TBALC is at ¥0.7M.

Friday Estimates (12/17)

01.🇨🇳 Fireflies in the Sun : ¥93M /¥100M 🆕

02.🇨🇳 I Am What I Am : ¥9M /¥26M 🆕

03.🇨🇳 Schemes In Antiques : ¥6M /¥378M ↘️

04.🇨🇳 Crossing The Yalu River : ¥5.5M 🆕

05.🇨🇳 Be Somebody : ¥4.5M /¥879M ↘️

06.🇨🇳 The Battle At Lake Changjin : ¥0.8M /¥5762M ↘️

07.🇨🇳 Good Night Beijing : ¥0.7M /¥34M ↘️

08.🇨🇳 Sawan Re-organisation : ¥0.6M /¥38M ↘️

09.🇨🇳 Railway Heroes : ¥0.4M /¥142M ↘️

10.🇨🇳 Your World, Without Me ¥0.3M /¥28M ↘️

TOP 10 ranks are dominated by Local Releases. Fireflies in the Sun had a great OD, will easily pass ¥250M+ benchmark on it's OW. I Am What I Am had a low start with ¥9M. WOM will soon boost it's performance. On the Other hand, Be Somebody is strongly approaching ¥1000M benchmark.

Why banned ? I didn't know that

NWH will also get banned I guess ?

Tom Hardy’s comments about China

Regarding NWH, there was an article yesterday about hollywood movies been suspended bc of Olympics boycott from the US. According to this article, the movie was accepted until this happened (this was on december 12th)

however I found weird that spider-man official weibo account keeps advertising the movie with rotten tomatoes score. However, sony pictures weibo account is not promoting it.

I don't consider Venom as banned. As Venom is still expected to arrive on the market and at least, before NWH. Well, uncertain date might cancelled out theatrical engagement. However, I found an interesting thing that DC's The Batman had a reserved date on mid-March 2022, although there isn't an official confirmation. And if NWH is not releasing in Jan, then it would be delayed to April, while I strongly believe that there is some confusion here, if Sony is filling for theatrical licence here, then it should not be a problem. But, I strongly oppose any filling of NWH from Marvel, which already has a bad reputation in China, after involving Simu Liu and Chloé Zhao in their films from Nationalist Leaders including from Xi Jinping’s Government.
