Wow. I thought Ant-Man was more popular than Black Panther in China.

They both not that popular compare with spiderman and Ironman, only marvel fans have interest to watch this, other people maybe heard of the name because of Avengers movie but won’t gonna going to cinema to see it

well bp2 drops 10 days before ant-man 3 so data being higher isn't that much surprise and ant-man isn't massively anticipated to have huge wts data this far out

AVATAR presale during Spring Festival:¥12.07m($1.775m)

don't know how this period works but can theatres give a2 more screens/showtimes during the holiday period if some of the new releases are selling poorly? like that deep sea movie, if wom is poor could a2 maybe get some screens back say near end of months (29th,30th,31st) or just have to wait until holidays over if ever?

I don't know from where you are seeing ¥12M pre-sales. Taopiaopiao data says less than ¥1M total Pre-sales from 1/23-2/14

SUN Projection - ~¥570K (¥220K so far)

it's based on Lunar calendar, and so the dates vary, mostly around late Jan and early Feb.

Just looked outside, It's definitely not a Full Moon. The Ancient Chinese Astrologists must gotten it wrong.

Should postpone to Mid February, move all the CNY films there, and give the screens back to Avatar to finish it's run

The East Asian Lunar New Year don't occur during a Full Moon but a New Moon (when the moon is not visible)
