China, India to shoot 3 co-production films

1 of them is "Kung Fu Yoga", a combination of Chinese martial arts and Indian culture, will star Jackie Chan and Bollywood star Aamir Khan (PK).

Other films is Wong Ka Wei's movie & Wang Baoqiang's 1st directorial debut.

Xu Zheng's Lost 3 name Lost in India (2016)...will boom Chinese tourist to India, like it used to do in Thailand (2012).

I really hope the movies are good, this can be a major collaboration between the 2 film industries and make both grow in a big way.

Good numbers for PK, much better than expected.

Nice increase for AoU but the % drop is so big that I can't really see this as a success. Oh well. Let's hope it can get past $250M.

It is a success, that's all there is to say. If you think a 200% increase over TA1 isn't a success that just means there is something wrong with you.

Everything is increasing 200-300% from 3-5 years ago. FF7 was a success at 500%?(not sure what FF6 did). TA2 is just par for the course

You need to look at market increase since 2012 and take that out of the 200%.

2013 market increase was 27.5%, 2014 was 36.2% and Q1 of 2015 was 42.5%.

That means a movie that did $69 million in 2012 should do 69*1,275*1,362*1,425 = $171 million based solely on market increase.

Ok, first of all don't try to act too smart and stop needless judging. There ain't anything wrong with us. The market's growth needs to be factored in. Also most sequels have been increasing a lot and this was expected play even better. While Its true that as long as it crosses 200m it may not be considered a disappointment, it can't be said to be impressive or a success at all too. Just alright or passable at the most.

its 3rd highest grosser and so its overall gross is not bad. What is horrible is its legs despite holding high number of screens. But that is almost a world wide epidemic for AOU. Its just having meh WOM that is affecting its legs. So its WW gross is great but below expectations at the start of the run.
