Including service charges, first three weeks of M  arch is down 21% vs last year...

I guess that Zootopia is the main guilty of that drop. Maybe F8 can invert that trend. Is there any other big title (local or foreign) coming in April beyond Furious?

I posted a week ago that March might be up 10-20%. I was looking at last April's 3B not March's 3.7B. :D

BvS opened here last year at 120m. Zoo was still chugging. The last 10 days will gain little to no ground. Will probably be down 15-20%. The year will be at 14B down  3.5% thru March 31 with the 5% service charge.

Q holiday is shaping up to be similar to last year to start off April. Up to FF8 to give the first decent monthly gain in over a year.  Last April was 3B. The year before was 4B with FF7

I heard China is cracking down on Box office frauds again(seems like a every-March affair, lol)

Did Jackie Chan's movies and theaters get caught?

I can't find anything on Weibo or Tieba!

Jackie Chan theaters were making fake numbers ,they didn't steal money.

Nope, it could be top3 though

It's going to be interesting to follow TLJ buzz when trailer drops on April 14 (likely). There are indications that LF will give Kelly Tran a big marketing push going forward, since she's a new major character, so lets see if Asian representation helps. She's a Vietnamese, though.

Even RO which has 2 famous Chinese actors didn't break out , I doubt TLJ makes more than TFA.
