"Doraemon 2021" had an huge upstick of 124%, as the film got relief from Universal's "Bad Guys" &Sony's "Hotel Transylvania 4" exit. Among the Top 10, "Ode To The Spring" &"Captain Qomolangma" had an depressing opening at No.3 &No.10 respectively // "Detective Vs Sleuths" &"The Stones" had previews, will open on 10 July &22 July, 2022 respectively...!

IMO, China would never be as daring as they are now, if it wasn't for multiple mega local hit. The past 2 years China has seen some insane level of local mega hit that surpassing every MCU film in every way. This give them more leverage to stand up against MCU. 

 

In fact, China ban MCU at a very critical point. Many people actually see EG as a finale, and ready to take a rest on MCU addiction after that and China ban them on this exact moment. Outside of core Marvel fan who pirate the movie, Disney reach almost nobody in China for MCU phase 4. Not to mention their content on Disney+. With MCU plot become more and more convoluted going forward, I am not sure how MCU can rebuild in China going forward.

據《華爾街日報》報導，有消息人士指片商派拉蒙 ( PGRE ) 的高層已不再期待在中國大陸上映電影。而DMG 娛樂公司前總裁、克里斯芬頓則說，荷里活對待中國審查員的方式「發生了 100% 的轉變」。他認為現時就算取悅北京也不能保證能獲得巨額收入，在未來一段時間，預計都需要面臨這樣的不確定。（7/7）

I think Studio will just avoid Chinese Release if they need to cut on their works. In other words, they don't want to overwrite the story due to cuts, which may (just) change the story/ending.
