How important are day-and-date releases, really?

I know they made a big deal about Zootopia being day-and-date in China, but the movie had been in other markets for 3 weeks before it was released in the USA and China. Does it really matter which market sees a movie first?

Wow, presales for Apocalypses haven't picked up, it is trailing BVS by a lot.

It may only make less than 500M yuan..

Probably Warcraft presales are preventing X-Men from picking up...

 

BVS had toxic word of mouth everywhere. X-Men seems to have much better word of mouth, around the world, despite huge competition. I expect X-Men to have better legs in the long haul, unlike BVS, which simply disappeared and stopped making money. lol

It's less than half of ca2. OD will be close to half. With major screen loss after 5 days this is not good

Well, I think X-Men will have better legs than BVS. Sure, BVS made much more money, but I'm talking about legs.
