JackO
I care because I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall.Of course you are. There is nothing you can tell say to convince that Riva will get nominated, much less, is a "lock."
CoolioD1
But it was still predictable. The fuck do you want? How about Battleship wins Best Picture. That'll be a surprise.
Gopher
You bet they do now that ZDT stole Argo`s thunder and they have no plan B movie. Besides, LOTR was sweeping while it was NLC property and now that it`s WB it`s going meh. They already prepared FYCs on their site, LOL. 1. They prepare FYCs for everything in their stable, every studio does. 2. Box office means more than Oscars. Argo was a hit and Affleck's career won't be hurt if he doesn't win Best Director. 3. Are they going to cry themselves to sleep if they make all the money in the world and they don't win Oscars? FOTR didn't win the big Oscars. Jackson already swept with FOTR. Who cares? RichWS
Sasha Stone @AwardsDaily Zero Dark Thirty is probably still going to continue its march but this could be the tipping point where The Master becomes critics darling. Easy there, Sasha.
Cmasterclay
Les Mis is at 70 percent with a high 7.5 average rating, and still going up, it's not really getting trashed except for a couple of reviewers who hate musicals anyway. The Master winning so much is a big let down for me. I respect the acting and technical aspects of the movie alot, but it was by far the most pretentious, useless script of the year.
