DAR
both BD2 and Skyfall won't reach 300m. Might as well accept the fact nowWell the prospects of both reaching 300m aren't over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Nothing is over until we the moviegoers say it's over!!!!! LET'S DO IT!!!!!!

Jake Gittes
Does KMS 'feel' like The Assassination of Jesse James? That was a film that had very little plot but benefited from the generous run time.No. It probably has even less story, but where The Assassination made up for that by being a deep character study, KTS is an angry and darkly funny comment on how the crime world got affected by the 2008 crisis. It's all about ideas, there's probably only one actual character in the film - arc and all - and he's played by Scoot McNairy, not Pitt.
Jake Gittes
And yeah, as much as I love KTS, I dread to think what it would've been with a 150-minute runtime. That shouldn't have ever happened, and I'm very glad it didn't. I can't imagine it working while being anything more than a 97-minute self-contained ball of anger, energy and cynicism. There's no need for it to be even a minute longer.
kayumanggi
Audiences agree with critics more than the other way around. Hundreds of reviews come out on RT for every movie these days that the corroIation with the public is undeniable. I haven't seen KTS yet but I think audiences were pissed off by KTS because it was apparently very different than what was advertised and audiences hate being deceived.Didn't the same thing happened to DRIVE? baumer
@poseiden....remember this from Wednesday? baumer, on 29 November 2012 - 03:01 PM, said: Lincoln could drop 50% this weekend. The world could end this weekend, Aliens could start an invasion, "The Walking Dead" could happen in real life, Britney Spears could proove she is a good judge. All of those options seem more probable, than Lincoln having a 50% drop. baumer, on 29 November 2012 - 03:15 PM, said: I wouldn't be so cocky there bub. I'm not saying it will, but many films, including well received ones aimed at adults, drop the weekend after Thanksgiving. http://www.boxoffice....com/120511.htm It's not about being cocky. Lincoln is still limited and even if it's not adding theaters the coming weekend, it just had the biggest 3 day bump i can find in the last 15 years and that's including christmas themed movies. To me that's what good WOM is all about. So Lincoln is on pace for about a 45-50% drop....so tell me again, when is that Alien invasion coming? cozmeesah
There is plenty of growing buzz for SLP. Just look on Twitter. Tons of people telling everyone to go see it and a lot of people mad it's not playing by them. WOM is building the buzz for sure. But it should expand at least a little bit soon, definitely.
kayumanggi
I have seen RISE OF THE GUARDIANS today. America just got this one wrong. One of the best films I've seen this year. It deserves way, way more. It is so unfortunate it's not doing well. And those who complain about the look, I suggest you watch it first.
