I don't think the general audience were really expecting this to be another 'LOTR' because it seems to me non fans are enjoying this movie. It's people in forums and critics that were expecting something different even though the marketing campaign clearly advertised it for what it is, a fun light adventure. WOM won't be bad and this will not miss 300m.
