Empire Posted July 11, 2013 Share Posted July 11, 2013 Does anyone really think Iron Man 3 or Star Trek 2 were on the same level as The Avengers and The Dark Knight? If you're going to complain about big-budget tentpoles not getting their due, this isn't the year to do it. Lincoln and DU exhausted slavery trope last year so this will look reptitive and word is that it's good but not great. I also don't know why The Councelor is expected to be Oscar material except by Fassy fans. many of the movies on the list sound more like showcases for their leading men then actual BP potential. The Academy never has enough with the themes they like the most Racism World War II Disabilities History+cinema And over the top they love + love + love films that showcases strong male leading stories.
