baumer
If Lincoln wins Best Picture then it should be the highest grossing of nominees for sure. But if it does not then Django has a chance.

fishstick
TH under NM would be awesome. TORN would implode.
The Dark Alfred
Those numbers a bit overestimated. It's funny that GS is distant third in the US, even behind THH, but clear #1 in Canada. Lincoln continues to impress. 175m will happen.

The Dark Alfred
Django is good for 3.35m. I guess GS did have an effect on it, should have a nice Saturday jump I guess.
keysersoze123
how about other major holdovers like les mis, hobbit, reacher, pi and lincoln.
fishstick
Django has too much competition. There are 4 holdovers who received Oscar bump (LM, SLP,LoP and unstoppable juggernaut Lincoln) plus one of 2 new movies is a big contender as well (ZDT). So 5 Oscar nominees + R arrival (GS). That`s too much for anyone. Edited January 12, 2013 by fishnets
Hiccup
It feels like the box office is trying to kill the Hobbit on purpose. Not that good for Les Miserables and Django Unchained. Lincoln is a beast that can't be killed. Expected for the openers. I really want to see the Life of Pi number!
Hiccup
Zero Dark Thirty took away a lot of Django Unchained's audience. Next weekend won't be any better
Hiccup
I would love to see Django Unchained have Lincoln's gross, Les Miserables have Django Unchained's gross, and Lincoln have Les Miserables gross.

Seriously, you were such a good poster before you found God in TH.TH has shit PTA while playing in too many theaters. So it`s only natural that they`ll kick it out of some theaters. GS is WB movie so TH had to make room for that too. Finally, it is not a contender so it cannot expect boost in interest and BO bump.
