cozmeesah
I think that's a teaser poster. Not sure though. Trailer #1 (60 seconds) for Season 3 premieres TONIGHT (Fri 2/22) on Jimmy Kimmel. Then directly after the east coast airing on the GoT YouTube channel and other sites.
figgsbane
cant wait for season 3, the last few scenes of season 2 were amazing. I dont know if you have to use spoilers here to talk about it though, so I wont go into details for anyone who hasnt seen season 2 yet, but I am more looking forward to GOT than DOS. I have only read the first book so I dont know any details, but does Tyrian survive? he is my favourite character, he would be me if he was 5ft 6" and a woman . But yeah its great stuff, although I still think Jon Snow and Queen Cerce are a bit wooden they never seem to emote, like ever.
cozmeesah
There are still 2 books to be written & released, so we have no idea who will survive the entire saga. But, if you really want to know... Yes, through all 5 books that have been released, Tyrion is still alive. You don't think Cersei emotes? I think you're the first person I've ever heard to say that. Jon doesn't, but he's not supposed to. Jon the book character keeps most of his thoughts and feelings inside. He's a lot like Ned in that respect and Kit portrays him that way. figgsbane
well no Cersei has the same expression on her face all the time, in the first season she had a blank expression and a slight frown, in the second series she had obviously been at the Botox because she was just as expressionless without the unsightly frown. Even if a character has to remain remote and glacial for political or social reasons, you should be able to see the hidden emtions in the eyes. A good actor can say a thousand words with a glance. (Just one example among many because most people have seen it) take for example Frodo's face when they have escaped Moria and have lost Gandalf, he stands alone and turns to camera, silent tears, his expression showing the grief he feels, its intense, or the moment Eomer finds Eowyn, he thinks she is dead, his scream says it all, its powerful, he doesnt need words.Jon Snow is probably the silent brooding type, but I still want to see his inner turmoi, but often his eyes look dead. His mate Sam has all the interesting qualities and humanity. But this is just my opinion, I may be wrong and I dont dispute other peoples reading, its just interesting to know other peoples interpretation. figgsbane
I only read the first book, is the Magnar of Thenn the scary ice zombies at the end of season 2? I am confused.

No. He's a character in the third book who is a leader of the Wildlings. Based on the trailer they eliminated him from the show and combined his role with another Wildling character introduced in the third book. 4815162342
So the world isn't round? Martin says that the world is round, but it's a bigger planet than Earth so there's a lot of undiscovered stuff past the west coast of Westeros. The books make the claim that no one who who's sailed off west of Westeros has never come back, though a major character introduced in the 4th book claims he has done so. 4815162342
What I think about where Season 3 will leave off since it and Season 4 are splitting up the 3rd book (BOOK 3 SPOILERS!): Robb/Catelyn- Death by Red WeddingKing's Landing- Lannisters celebrating the Red Wedding, Sansa gets the "amethyst" hairnetArya- Her and Sandor in the aftermath of the Red Wedding Jamie/Brienne- Some minor scene post "The Bear Pit"Dragonstone- Davos convinces Stannis to not sacrifice X (I'm guessing Stannis' daughter Shireen since Edric Storm hasn't been cast to my knowledge)Slaver's Bay- Dany frees the slaves of YunkaiTheon- Something (unpleasant)?Bran & Co.- Something in the aftermath of QueenscrownJon- Returns wounded to the Wall not far ahead of the Wildling attack Final Scene- Beric resurrects Catelyn (though I could see Un-Catelyn held off as the end of Season 4 reveal). cozmeesah
I think that Jon's... will be Ygritte dying after the wildling attack. I think they'll want to finish that arc this season and also have some action at the wall. Plus there's the huge Wildling attack from the other side next season already. Won't have two battles there in one season.
bed005
The Red Wedding is definitely going to be near the end of this season, although it might be like Ned's beheading and happen in the second to last episode. That will be the main scene this year, I can't wait. And I agree with Cozmees on where Jon's storyline will end this year. I can't see them stopping before that point, especially since in the latest trailer they show them climbing the wall. Otherwise I think Numbers has a good idea of where all the other storylines will end.On one hand, I'm glad that they are splitting the book so they don't leave anything out, because their are a ton of storylines that need to be addressed. But at the same time I wish they would just double the season so I don't have to wait an extra year to finish the book off. And I wonder how many more shots of dragons we will see this year. Based on HBO's reluctance to use the CGI budget I bet the dragons only show up in 2 episodes. Edited February 26, 2013 by bed005

figgsbane
Arya has really grown on me, she used to be an annoying brat, but now she is interesting to watch.
