baumer
Yes, I scored that as a yes, not a no. Sorry, wrote it down wrong. Check your scores though if you are concerned./
Cmasterclay
Well, I did mediocre this week, especially considering I had individs. Still top ten, though!

Sam
B, isn't the one making the big move with 45k for weekly questions Icedeep?
gizmo
I think i should have 25,000 points. What i got right: 1 (5000), 2 (2000),4,5,6,7,8,12,13,14 Adds up to 15k plus 10k for putting everything in the right spot except for the Indian movie. The Stingray
There might be some monkey business going on here. I will look into it later.
#ED
Am I the only one with no clue as to what movies 1-5 will be this weekend? Like I'm thinking Turbo is the favorite for #1, but DM2 can't drop that hard this weekend.
Sam
Am I the only one with no clue as to what movies 1-5 will be this weekend? Like I'm thinking Turbo is the favorite for #1, but DM2 can't drop that hard this weekend. I think The Conjuring is the favorite for No.1. Turbo has previews tonight, and open tomorrow. That will saturate its weekend IMO. Edited July 16, 2013 by Sam
Kvikk Lunsj
Conjuring should be number 1 but the top 5 is going to very close. I can't believe how this weekend is so week.
#ED
So far everyone has abstained Bonus 3 from this weekend's thread.
baumer
Bonus 3 is suicide.
chasmmi
Bonus 3 is suicide. How about next week have one single question which if you go for it, it is double or nothing? 4 questions is too much risk. 1 question like say: Will R.I.P.D debut in the top 6 movies this weekend or how many new releases will be in the top 3 spots this weekend? I would maybe be tempted to risk all my points for the chance to double my score on one hard question if i had a good gut feeling. 4 questions is too scary. That's the point.
chasmmi
Oh no, I didn't mean to make it easy (I am just not good at making the right questions), I meant maybe have 1 very hard question instead of 4 middling ones. I know I would be more likely to risk (and probably lose) everything in this scenario. Is something like Q: Predict Monster's University's weekend gross to within 100k accuracy a better example of a crazy hard but tempting question? (Not trying to push or argue anything, I like the concept of risky bonuses a lot. I just wanted to clarify what I meant in case bad question examples made it unclear.)
chasmmi
And for the record, if I knew anything about the nature of cinemascore grades I would actually maybe have gone for the bonus 3.
baumer
Yes, thanks for the suggestions chas. They are always welcome. Thing is I have never done a question like this one before. So maybe I can look into doing something similar to what you suggested.
chasmmi
Oh absolutely understood, just wanted to clarify my suggestion that's all. And any method I can come up with to break into the top 30 I will take (within reason)
