Despite the gnashing of teeth over the teaser it's really not a bad way to start the campaign. Hard to imagine Lionsgate fucking this up that much since a lot of their job will be done for them with the upcoming TV season that will probably lead right into the movie.

Nah it's just a gimmick for marketing I presume. Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast had them recently too for example

Bad to put it nicely. Why didn't they keep the Twilight v Tirek theme? They resorted to making a barbie esque franchise.

It's definitely more of a mixed bag recently with less of the element of surprise its sense of humor had its first few seasons that drew it the fanbase it got, but there's still enough spark to make it enjoyable viewing for 22 minutes imo.
