    Are you sure about this. Regal has 569 theaters while Cinemark is around 300. Will Indies make up that much of a difference?

    I multiplied by ticket price for each theater and came up with $314428 for the fan events. This was simple change to the script. I will start putting $ value to other list as well as each web page scraped for the show has the ticket price but I will assume all are adult tickets. For fan events all ticket prices are the same but for regular show there is some discount.

    Data for Fan event shows at AMC. 12987/16576 (101 shows). 5 are sellouts and many almost sellouts. This was not part of rest of the preview BO numbers i posted earlier. These are uber expensive shows. Lincoln Square tickets are 35 bucks a pop while its 30 bucks at Empire 25. Even smaller centers are at $25.

    I am sure Charlie cannot Time Travel and look at future BO numbers. So your guess is as good as his. Just matter of how Maleficent 2 holds this weekend. Nothing major opens this weekend and so Joker should not lose too many screens/showtimes. I think once we have Wednesday numbers we can get better perspective on weekend BO.

    In this case I can believe its a sellout. Even shows after 830PM have near sellout including 9PM 3D show(which has couple of wheel chair seats available). Even the 1030PM 2d show is fast filling up.All the sold out shows are between 6PM to 730PM.

    It could also be a bulk booking. This movie will have bunch of those. Where a corporate or otherwise block the whole show.

    You never know. But I was able to retrieve the seat map for the show and all the seats are marked as sold. Still one can never say for sure.

    Can we avoid any endgame vs SW9 posts except those comparing apples to apples data (Like @captainwondyfuldid with her Lincoln Square data). Let us keep this thread clean discussing only PS data. Its annoying to see posts from members who only come to this thread to make snide remarks. There is franchise wars thread for all that stuff.

    I don’t think anyone will predict Endgame OW. Best case scenario is just squeaking past IW for 2nd biggest OW. 1st this is December and Christmas is on its 1st Wednesday. I am 100% sure this will have better multi than Endgame just because of release date. SW8 apart from being divisive also had bad release date where Christmas Eve fell on its 2nd weekend making its drop even worse. This won’t have that issue. Solo is not a good comparison to this movie. This has more in PS than Solo had by its release. Only comparisons for this movie are SW7/8 and they are part of the same saga and release dates. You could compare overall PS with Endgame but they are still different release dates. We will get report from Fandango and others soon on overall ticket sales. May be as soon as tomorrow.

    AMC OD - 98150/939955 (4577 shows) OD I got data for 4577 of 4582 shows. Again there are no comparisons from my perspective.

    AMC - 187398/722656(4275 shows) ok 1st successful run for AMC I got data for 4275 out of 4313 shows. That is a good sample set. Let me check for OD as well. it has good sales into the weekend at this point. I will also refresh to see any new shows added. Also I see Empire 25 has non reserved 2d shows. That is the 1st I have seen for the theater. My data is just for reserved screens. As I said earlier, I hope to get more data by end of weekend around region split and PLF share. Edit: So how big is this number. Its 40% ahead of Joker previews on Thursday night. I will update end of day to see where its gonna end. But I am optimistic about 1M+ sales at just AMC for just previews. Early guess is at least 50m in previews. I would like the show time to double before have greater perspective on the number.

    It happens only if I directly access a showtime url like I do using a script. Then its hitting a captcha. . Good news is now I am not seeing it. Trying previews run now. Fingers crossed I get data for majority of the shows.

    AMC has put a captcha when I tried to go to a showtime. if that is permanent that will be the end of my tracking them 😞 It was fun while it lasted. I will check once the dust settles down again for SW9 and if it still persists we have only conventional way of tracking minus Cinemark.

    That link shows Japan BO. That I know does 2 day weekend. Does Taiwan also do that. We dont even have a thread for Taiwan. @Olive posts updates to Taiwan BO in HK thread. May be if you are from Taiwan create a new thread and start providing updates. That would be awesome.

    @FlashMaster659 do you track Arclight. At hollywood the biggest screen is almost 1000 tickets is almost sold out. That plus it has so man shows that over 10-12K tickets are available in one theater. Probably will sellout all of them. Average ticket price will be over 20 bucks.

    I dont know any other market that reports 2 day BO weekend. RTH has posted multiple times on this including in this thread. Anyway on Japan, I feel Joker is going to have 10x multi. That is amazing for SH movie. But this is not behaving like one.

    AMC still puts you in the queue and so I cannot run my script. its impressive that even this early the site has so much demand.
